riding is about 25% more popular in London than it was before the pandemic.
According to various reports, London Charity Cycles between March
and mid-June were on average 24% higher than during the same time last year.
Over a thousand women will band together
on one amazing night to ride 50 or 100 kilometres across London in support of
those dealing with cancer.
Everyone is familiar with a cancer
patient, and Ride the Night is our chance to demonstrate our tenacity in the
face of the disease.
Background
The non-profit organization Transport
for London Charity Cycles was
founded. Our goal is to improve life in London by keeping it active and
developing. On behalf of the Mayor of London, we oversee the transportation

the London Charity Cycles request
guidance and takes place in public areas of our facilities.
Position in court
We must conduct our operations in line
with the Greater London Authority Act 1999 (GLA Act) and other pertinent laws
since we are a statutory body with limited legal authority to offer financial
or other support to other organizations, including Cycling Charity. Most of the time,
we won't be able to comply with a request unless doing so will enable us to
perform our duty of providing transportation in London Charity Cycles.
We first examine whether, in general, we
have the legal authority to support any request for help that is made. If we do
have the requisite authority, we will then consider the priorities outlined in
this guidance when determining whether we want to support the request.
